"I used to come here two days a week but I've increased that to three.
I like the atmosphere here, I get on well with the other people, and I like doing 'real work'.  I need to use two buses to get here but that's OK.

Karen Clissold,
service user

Workstep Supported Employment Scheme
Watford Sheltered Workshop offers a supported employment scheme for people with disabilites who face more complex barriers to finding and keeping a job.

In accordance with our equal opportunities policy we ensure people have equal access to training and development opportunities within our well equipped workshop and the appropriate support, thus enabling individuals to realise their full potential and where possible to progess into open employment.

As well as having our own in-house training facilities we also have access to local colleges and learning centres for more specialised support.  We also work in partnership with employment agencies that help individuals in finding work.

Further details of the WorkStep supported employment scheme can be obtained by contacting the workshop, details are shown on the contact page of this website.  Alternatively you can talk to Sandra Wood, the disability employment advisor, at Watford JobCentre Plus on 01923 208322
