are extremely pleased that our kichen facilities, which are available
for rent, received a 5 star hygiene rating from the local health
authority. Success All the Way We are always striving to improve the skills our our workers and with this in mind we run regular training courses. Over the last year the followng qualifications have been awared: City & Guilds Entry Level Adult Numeracy Paul Whenman Carol Shenton OCR Level 2 Adult Numeracy Michael Lettan Certificate in Word 2 and Access Faiza Ali RTITB Fork Lift Operators Certificate Brian Pooley Graham Russell David Holtum Emergency First Aid at Work Linda McIntyre Liz McCue Basic First Aid Parveen Karin Faiza Ali Emilyn Needs Declan Savage (using signed communication) Tom Witherow British Sign Language Certificate Liz McCue Apprenticeships Two
of our workers, Michael Lettan, Emilyn Needs are undertaking an
apprenticeship in warehousing. The have just successful passed
their Fork Lift Truck Driving Certificate. Well Done! Moving On Ben
Bees who has been with us for a number of years and moved on to main
stream employment as a gardener with a local presitigous school.
We wish Ben every success in his new career. Helping Hands We have been very lucky in the number of people who have volunteered to help Watford Workshop on a regular basis. We are however still looking for more, so if you would like to get involved please contact us. | BIG LOTTERY FUND AWARD FOR LIFE SKILLS
TRAINING ![]() Watford Workshop secured a grant of £9,840 from the Big Lottery Fund. This grant was used to upgrade our kitchen facilities in order to provide life skills training to our service-users. The Big Lottery Fund grant has benefited service-users by enabling them to have greater independence, healthier lifestyle and become more integrated into the local community.
