The Watford Sheltered Workshop is a company limited by guarantee governed by its Memorandum and Articles of Association. The company was registered as a charity on 17th August 1966.
As set out in the Articles of Association, Trustees are elected to serve for three years and reviewed each year at the AGM. External parties who are entitled to appoint Trustees are Hertfordshire County Council and Watford Borough Council. Trustees who are targeted to become members of the Management Committee are selected to provide a wide knowledge and experience in the area of working with people with disabilities. The Trustees, who are all volunteers, are also the Directors of the Company.
